Abstract
This article discusses the role of religion in today’s society. Starting from a summary review of interdisciplinary literature on the topic, the study continues with an exploration of the complex ways in which religious beliefs, practices, and institutions intersect with various facets of contemporary life. From shaping cultural norms to influencing political landscapes, the paper examines the evolving impact of religion on social cohesion, identity formation, and ethical frameworks. By navigating the complex interplay between tradition and modernity, the research aims to contribute nuanced insights into the ongoing dialogue surrounding the role of religion in fostering or challenging social harmony.
